Move-Out Info

General

Before you vacate your unit, you must call the janitor so they can inspect the apartment.

Close your accounts with utility providers before you move out.

All walls painted by the resident must be returned to their original color. Do not plaster the walls.

All personal items and trash must be removed from the entire apartment, including cabinets, shelves, and back porches.

Floors must be vacuumed and washed; carpets must be free of stains and damage. All ceiling fans, blinds, windows, and window sills must be cleaned. All wallpaper and stickers must be removed.

Kitchen

The sink, cabinets, and countertops must be emptied and washed.

The refrigerator must be emptied, defrosted, and cleaned — do not unplug it and leave the door shut.

The dishwasher should be emptied and cleaned. The stove, oven, and burners must be clean and free of grease. Any backsplash adhesive residue must be removed.

Bathroom

The sink, tub, and toilet require cleaning.

The cabinet must be emptied and cleaned.

Cleaning and Replacement Charges

Refrigerator cleaning: $75.00

Stove/oven cleaning: $75.00

Cabinet/countertop cleaning: $25.00

Key replacement: $30.00

Furniture/trash removal: $50.00–$250.00

Excessive cleaning: $100.00–$250.00

Painting: $200.00–$1,500.00

Move-Out Process

Residents must vacate the apartment by 12:00 PM on the last day of the lease.

All keys must be left with the janitor, who will conduct an inspection of the unit.
