Apartment 4216-2

4216-26 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60613

Type1 Bed 1 Bath
NeighborhoodLake View
Size700 sq ft

This one-bedroom, one-bath apartment at 4216 North Clark Street spans 700 square feet and greets you with a bright, welcoming feel throughout. Hardwood floors run wall to wall, paired with restored wood trim that gives the rooms a warm, classic character you do not find in newer construction. The living room draws in plenty of natural light through a large double window, leaving space to set up a full seating arrangement, a media console, and a coffee table without feeling tight. The bedroom continues that same light and hardwood flooring, with a vintage radiator tucked along the wall and enough room for a queen bed, nightstands, and a dresser, plus a closet for everyday storage.

The kitchen has been fully updated with stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, a full-size refrigerator, and a built-in dishwasher, set against a quartz countertop and a tiled backsplash. Upper and lower cabinets line the walls for pantry and cookware storage, and a rolling cart offers extra prep space if needed. In-unit laundry comes by way of a stacked washer/dryer combo, so there is no need to leave the apartment to do a load of wash. The bathroom has been refreshed as well, with white subway tile surrounding the tub and shower, a clean vanity with storage below the sink, and a mirrored medicine cabinet. Mini blinds cover every window, ceiling fans keep the rooms comfortable through the warmer months, and closets throughout the apartment give this one-bedroom plenty of everyday storage for its size.

Transit & Commute

Clark Street runs right past the building, and the 22 Clark bus stops at Clark and Irving Park, a couple of minutes from the front door, running 24 hours a day south through Wrigleyville, Lincoln Park, and into the Loop, or north toward Rogers Park.

For rail, the Brown Line at Montrose is about a 14-minute walk and connects to the Loop in roughly 25-30 minutes, with trains every 10-15 minutes during the day and more frequent service at rush hour. The Red Line at Wilson, about a 15-minute walk, runs 24/7 and reaches the Loop in around 20-25 minutes, making it the better option for a late-night ride home.

What’s Nearby

An Aldi is about a 14-minute walk at 4500 N Broadway, covering the everyday grocery run without a car. Clark Street itself is lined with the kind of neighborhood shops, diners, and bars that make this stretch walkable day to day, all without leaving the block.

Graceland Cemetery, an 8-minute walk with its main entrance right at Clark and Irving Park, is one of Chicago's great green spaces: 121 acres of mature trees, walking paths, and landmark 19th-century monuments that double as a quiet, park-like escape for a morning walk or run. Wrigley Field and the rest of Wrigleyville's restaurants and bars are also just a bike ride or short bus trip south on Clark.

Lake View

Lake View is one of Chicago's largest and most storied North Side neighborhoods, stretching from the lakefront to Ravenswood Avenue, its identity shifting block by block rather than settling on one note. It began as a lakeside village of summer cottages and a single lakefront hotel before Chicago annexed it in 1889, and that resort-town DNA still shows in the tree-lined streets, classic greystones, and brick two-flats that carry through its many pockets. Wrigleyville rallies around Wrigley Field and the Cubs' century-old home, filling with rooftop energy on every game day; the Southport Corridor turns quieter and more boutique, its cafes and storefronts drawing a date-night crowd; and Northalsted, long the historic heart of Chicago's LGBTQ+ community, hosts the city's Pride Parade every June. Threading it all together is the lakefront itself, with the Chicago Lakefront Trail and Belmont Harbor a short walk from almost any address here. It's a neighborhood built for walking: independent boutiques, award-winning restaurants, and corner cafes line Broadway, Southport, and Belmont, and the Belmont and Addison 'L' stops keep the whole area, and the rest of the city, within easy reach.

Lakefront & Trail

Belmont Harbor & the Lakefront Trail

Belmont Harbor anchors Lake View's stretch of the Chicago Lakefront Trail, where a wide paved path runs along the water's edge past hundreds of moored sailboats on their way out to Lake Michigan. Underpasses at Belmont and Wellington carry you beneath Lake Shore Drive without ever crossing traffic, opening onto green lakefront lawns, a boat launch, and miles of running and biking path in both directions. The harbor is free, open around the clock, and busy with joggers and cyclists from the first warm morning of spring through the last fall evenings. It is the neighborhood's front door to the lake, a five-minute walk that turns an ordinary morning run into a view of open water and sailboats at anchor.

Landmark Ballpark

Wrigley Field

Wrigley Field has stood at 1060 W. Addison St. since 1914, making it the second-oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball and the beating heart of the neighborhood that grew up around it. Its ivy-covered outfield walls, the hand-turned scoreboard, and the red marquee at Clark and Addison are as much Chicago icons as the team itself, and on game days the streets around it fill with fans, rooftop bars, and the unmistakable energy of a sellout crowd. The Cubs open their home schedule every spring and play into the fall, and living a short walk from the ballpark means a Tuesday night game can be a spur-of-the-moment plan rather than an outing you drive across town for.

Historic Cinema

Music Box Theatre

Open since August 1929, the Music Box Theatre is Chicago's beloved home for independent, foreign, and classic film, screening a lineup that runs from new arthouse releases to cult favorites under its ornate, star-painted ceiling. It's the only theater in the city that regularly accompanies silent films with a live theater organ, a tradition running since the early 1980s that turns an ordinary movie night into something you won't find anywhere else. The theater's tall neon marquee has lit up Southport Avenue for nearly a century, and its single-screen main auditorium still seats audiences the way it did on opening night. A few minutes from home, it's the kind of neighborhood cinema most people only read about.

Independent Cinema

Landmark's Century Centre Cinema

Set behind an ornate terra cotta facade at 2828 N. Clark St., Landmark's Century Centre Cinema is Lake View's go-to for independent and foreign-language film, with seven screens covering everything from awards-season contenders to festival favorites that never make it to the big multiplexes. A full renovation brought reserved stadium seating and reclining screening-lounge chairs, so a weeknight showing feels like an occasion rather than an errand. Tucked into the Century shopping center along Clark Street, it sits a short walk from Lake View's restaurants and bars, making it an easy anchor for a full night out without ever needing a car.
